While you are in a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, you must remain on a cash basis. You may not use credit cards. You are not permitted to borrow money unless you have the written approval of the court or the Trustee. The only exception is a medical emergency. If you need a credit card for work purposes, discuss this with your attorney so that approval may be obtained before you use a credit card during your Chapter 13 Bankruptcy.
